Start with the narrowest finished room
Subtract doors, trim, columns, outlets, ducts and the wall protection that will remain. Then compare the exact enclosure outside dimensions—not only the nominal or viewable-screen label.
Match the image to the viewable area
Choose the target aspect ratio from the usable screen rectangle and software output. Use image width in the projector throw calculation, then confirm zoom, offset, lens shift and mounting limits for the exact projector.
Close impact containment and service access
Verify screen offset and deflection guidance, side/top protection, exposed frame padding, ball-return behavior, access to tension points and replacement-screen availability before fixing the room finish.
